About me

Having spent 30 years running my own business, I decided to take my professional life in a whole new direction and I am now a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I work both online and face-to-face in Hackney.

Approach

I encourage clients to talk openly about anything that is preoccupying them and I will listen with empathy. My approach is not about "fixing" or "curing" but rather about helping you to develop a different relationship with your childhood experiences, your current situation, your feelings and your hopes for the future. As an integrative counsellor, I employ a variety of therapeutic models but I tend to work in a psychodynamic way - paying close attention to early experiences and unconscious feelings and behaviour. However, I respect each client’s autonomy and thus my approach with each individual is different. This enables a unique therapeutic relationship to develop between us which is at the core of our work together.

Safe Space

I aim to provide a safe and non-judgemental space where you can freely talk and reflect on your past, present and future. This space is intended to support you in exploring your thoughts and feelings without fear.

Reasons for Seeking Counselling

Clients come to counselling for a multitude of reasons including anxiety, relationship issues, grief, work problems, family troubles and more. Through our collaborative work, we can explore these issues in an open-minded way, aiming to discover new perspectives and alleviating internal constraints.

By working together, I strive to help you feel more able to navigate through your emotional world and experiences in a way that brings about positive change and personal growth.
